Hill End Trip

Hill End is a couple or so hours drive out of Mudgee the roads are good and not so good. Once out of town there are several long stretches of unsealed road. It is a bit like driving on a pebble beach and you leave a trail of dust behind you. We were lucky and did not have to follow any other vehicles. The bull dust as we call it is very fine and gets in to everything. This post is mainly photos of the countryside and the town of Hill End. Expensive place, a mug (chipped) of tea is $3.50 say seven quid!

So there is Hill End once a thriving place in the 1850's goldrush and now a ghost town. This neck of the woods is getting close to the Black Stump and in Oz parlance there is nothing beyond that.
Bye for now, we have had 11 days of rain, a 75 year record for April, I'm starting to get homesick, NOT.
