For my reader First post for 2008

That may be being a little sarcastic, which reminds me of when I was in my youth. My Uncle Alf, Dad and Grandad to the family would reply to some comment of mine. "You know Bob, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit". Has anyone read that book "On the Beach" by Nevil Shute? It is a great story. There are some things in common with this blog, "Is there anyone out there?".

Here is a photo of some solid sunshine, it comes in various forms here but this is perhaps the most deadly. 2 inch diameter with ragged edges.

This is a baby compared with some hail that landed nearby, hundreds of homes around western Sydney need their roof tiles replaced. The car yards are trying to flog off brand new hail damaged cars at bargain prices. If your a bush cockie (farmer in our lingo) they would be a great deal. Kind of come pre-dented for use on outback roads.

To finish off on a summery note here is a bunch of petunias from our garden.

At the moment we are enjoying NOT temperatures in the mid to high 20's and high humidity from the on and off rain.

Bye for now from Bob xxx

Nice contrast there Bob with the ice and spring flowers. Had my kick up the butt from Suzy (who has made is easier for me to post something as I keep forgetting my passwords - old age). Hope you have received or will shortly receive my Happy New Year card as I am pants at remembering to post a Christmas card in time. My garden looks decidely drab at the moment, but come February the forsythia will herald the spring and the garden will run amok - that's when the hard work starts!
